Jewish family and children’s service organizations provide a wide range of services to the community.  Oftentimes, agencies are not reimbursed in full for those services. Finding the funding required to meet the needs of the community is a constant challenge. Educating your community about long term care insurance is one way to generate new revenue for your agency.

•    Informing your community about long term care insurance only gives them more knowledge about their insurance options as they look toward the future. Informed community members will lead to an increase in the number of individuals purchasing Long Term Care Insurance, which in turn takes some burden off the community as people prepare themselves and their families for the future.

•    Your agency will be able to connect individuals to a 5% discount on a national brand long term care policy. As your community learns about long term care insurance they will purchase policies and that means that your organization will increase its potential to be reimbursed for the services you provide. Long Term Care Insurance pays for Home Healthcare and Case/Care Management. (Coverage varies by policy.)

•    In teaching the community about long term care insurance, the community, in turn will learn more about your organization and the vital services you provide.

•    AJFCA will put you in touch with a network of local insurance brokers who will help you educate the community and sell the policies. Local insurance brokers will appreciate your referrals and business, becoming a friend of your agency and a potential donor.

Are you ready to launch the AJFCA Long Term Care Education Initiative at Your Agency?

•    Contact the AJFCA office to enroll in the education initiative 800-634-7346.

•    Arrange for a personal meeting for your agency board and staff to learn more about the program by scheduling an appointment with the AJFCA office.

•    Identify brokers that you would like to invite to participate in your program, especially those with an affinity for your agency. (If you are not familiar with any brokers we have arranged for a national firm to connect you with brokers in your area).

•    Have your brokers appointed to sell the program by calling Gary Katelman (LTC Benefits Group) at 888-582-4010.

•    Host a co-branded seminar series with your brokers. (Your broker may contact LTC Benefits Group 888-582-4010 for specific ideas and materials).
