AJFCA is an association whose members are Jewish nonprofit agencies providing social services to children, adults, families and the elderly in the Jewish and general communities. Our membership dues are calculated based on the size of the agency's revenue, but all AJFCA members, regardless of size, participate equally in all benefits of membership. Connections
- AJFCA's Annual Conference provides the opportunity to join together with other agencies of all sizes located throughout North America and share ideas about how to serve your local communities more effectively.
- AJFCA's Group Forums provide the opportunity to connect with other professionals in various affinity groups including CEO's, CFO's, Fund Developers, Marketing & Communications Professionals, Senior Managers, Volunteer Managers and Human Resource Professionals. Through the Group Forums, members share ideas, advice and resources, all of which help them to operate their agencies more efficiently and successfully.
- AJFCA sponsors group conference calls on a variety of training issues, from organizational development to board governance to fundraising, marketing and programmatic issues. Participation in these calls is always open to all members in good standing and free of charge.
Through its CEO Council, high-level executive training is available to participating members at a very low cost. - AJFCA sponsors periodic regional conferences in order to facilitate the sharing of ideas among a group of nearby agencies.
- AJFCA member agencies are automatically listed in our online searchable directory, providing an avenue of connection between clients and collaborators and the agencies.
- AJFCA provides free listing in our online Job Opportunities bulletin for all member agencies who are interested in posting job vacancies.
Consultations
- Members receive free telephone consultations from AJFCA staff on a wide variety of issues from board and staff development to executive search and succession planning to mergers and other corporate matters.
- AJFCA's President/CEO travels throughout North America to consult in person with member agencies, facilitate strategic planning sessions and provide support as needed.
- Consultations are open and available to all members in good standing regardless of size of the agency.
Information
- AJFCA publishes a weekly e-newsletter containing timely topics in the social services and Jewish worlds, and notifications of webinars and other informative opportunities.
- AJFCA sponsors webinars collectively with service providers that are open and free of charge to all members.
- AJFCA houses a Resource Library on the Members Only portal of its website containing many useful organizational documents and tools supplied by our members.
- AJFCA publishes current information on funding opportunities on the Members Only portal of our website.
Advocacy
- AJFCA advocates for legislation that affects the work of our U.S. member agencies through our Washington Director.
- AJFCA advocates for Canadian policies through our Canadian office.
- Legislative updates are posted on AJFCA's website.
- AJFCA conducts a Washington Advocacy mission each year during which all members are invited to join in meetings with congressional representatives on timely legislative issues that affect the work of our local agencies.
Financial Benefit
AJFCA continually seeks to create relationships with providers of goods and services needed by our member agencies in order to secure these at group discounts.
- Participating members access the Foundation Center's Foundation Directory Online for an annual fee that is approximately 30% of its normal rate.
- All members may sign up for Purchasing Point, a program that is free as a benefit of membership in AJFCA and affords the user the opportunity to purchase goods and services at 20-40% off the regular rates.

AJFCA is a sponsoring agency of the Council on Accreditation. This relationship entitles member agencies to a 25% discount on accreditation and re-accreditation fees.
