Incorporated in 1972, The Association of Jewish Family & Children's Agencies (AJFCA) is a membership organization for Jewish human service agencies in the United States and Canada. AJFCA has approximately 125 member agencies, representing most of the eligible Jewish family and children's agencies in North America.
Member JF&CS agencies provide social services to children and adults in the Jewish and general community. Tracing their roots back to the 19th century, JF&CS agencies began by assisting Jewish refugees and immigrants, orphans and the poor and needy. Today, JF&CS agencies continue to provide services to people of all ages, from birth through childhood, adolescence, adulthood and senior services; of all religious and cultural backgrounds; with special needs, physical needs; and through economic challenges and life-cycle changes.
